MOTs in Wallington, the Carshalton Area and all Locations in South London

As many of our local and regional customers already know by our company name, The Test Station is a licensed DVSA testing facility and can perform annual MOTs across multiple categories including Class IV. The MOT test is a multipoint check undertaken by a qualified inspector to evaluate a vehicle’s safety, roadworthiness and emission standards. It is mandatory to book in for MOT testing every 12 months if a car has been in use for more than 3 years.

Our testing facility in Wallington extends a warm welcome to customers from the nearby Carshalton area and all parts of South London.

We have dedicated bays in our workshop which are set aside solely for MOTs, and this helps us to maintain a healthy turnaround of customer vehicles. You have the option to wait in our viewing area while an inspector performs the test or, if you work in Central London, leave your vehicle onsite, catch the train into work from Hackbridge Railway Station and collect your car when on the way home. We also offer a handy collection and delivery service where we can pick up your car, and drop it off again, to save you from travelling.

Combine MOTs with car servicing to save money on our annual services.

Booking in for MOTS at The Test Station

With Class IV, V and VII MOTs available, local motorists and members of the trade can book in for an upcoming inspection up to 28 days before the due expiry date of the current certificate. Should you fail to book in for a test and you are stopped by the police when driving without a pass certificate, you will be expected to pay a financial penalty of up to £1,000.00. If you happen to be involved in an accident, your insurance might be invalidated.

Driving without a MOT certificate would leave you personally liable for the cost of repair work to a third-party vehicle after an at-fault collision.

Because approved MOT testing centres in Carshalton, Wallington and the UK connect to a central DVSA database, The Test Station can alert you to an upcoming inspection date by email or SMS message in advance once you are a customer. This means you will never miss a scheduled test and won’t run the risk of driving your vehicle without a pass certificate in place.

MOTs typically take our inspectors around 45 minutes to complete.

In the Event of a MOT Test Failure

Should your vehicle fail the annual inspection, we will notify you and explain any issues our inspectors have found in detail. Our customers have the option to book in for car repairs after failing MOTs at our workshop or, if they prefer, they can use the services of other garages to have the required work done. Whichever way you decide to go, you can still have a vehicle retested for free if the repair work needed has been completed within a 10-day period.

Some issues will be minor in scale and won’t result in a test failure. Our MOT inspectors will add advisories to the paperwork giving you a clear indication of all work needed to keep a vehicle roadworthy under such circumstances.

The Test Station is one of the first names that local motorists from Carshalton, Wallington and South London think of when they need to book in for MOTs. Because we can offer a complete service that includes remedial repair work and free retesting, you and your vehicle couldn’t be in better hands.
